Red Velvet Cake Pops:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Plentiful Pantry Red Velvet Pound Cake
  • ¾ cup (1½ sticks) melted butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Candy Melts in various colors
  • decoration candy

Pound Cake Directions:
1- Preheat oven to 325°. Lightly grease a 8 x 4 x 2 loaf pan.
2- Combine water, melted butter, egg and pound cake mix in large bowl; blend well. DO NOT OVER MIX; batter may be lumpy.
3- Spread in loaf pan and bake 65-75 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. (you may cover with foil the last 15 minutes if the cake is getting too browned.)
4- Cool completely and remove from pan. Slice and serve with cream cheese frosting, powdered sugar glaze or whipped cream if desired.

High Altitude: (over 5,000 feet) Increase water by 2 tablespoons and add 1/3 cup flour.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

In a large bowl, beat together 1/2 cup softened butter and 8 ounces softened cream cheese with an electric mixer. With the mixer on low speed, add 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar a cup at a time until smooth and creamy. Beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Cake Pops:

In large bowl, use hands to crumble cooled Red Velvet cake until no large chunks remain. Add cream cheese frosting; mix until well combined. Form mixture into cake balls. Chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours, or in a freezer for 15 minutes. Melt colored Candy Melts in 30 second sessions, stirring in between. Dip sticks into melted Candy Melts and insert into cake balls; let set. Wait until candy is completely firm before dipping the pops completely in melted Candy Melts. Use your creativity to decorate for Halloween!

 


Colorful Halloween Fettuccine

Ingredients:

1 pkg. Pasta Partners Red Bell Pepper Fettuccine
1 pkg. Pasta Partners Squid Ink Fettuccine
2 Tbsp. Butter
2-1/4oz. can sliced Black Olives, drained
2 medium Tomatoes, diced (or 16oz. can Diced Tomatoes, drained)

Cooking Directions:

Add pasta to a large pot of boiling water; stir. After water boils, cook for 3-4 minutes or until desired tenderness. Do not overcook. Drain, toss immediately with your favorite Pasta Partners’ sauce!

 


Halloween Pasta

Ingredients:

1 pkg. Pasta Partners Halloween Pasta
1 pkg. Pasta Partners Garlic Herb Pasta Sauce Blend
2 Tbsp. Butter
2-1/4oz. can sliced Black Olives, drained
2 medium Tomatoes, diced (or 16oz. can Diced Tomatoes, drained)

Directions:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Melt butter in large skillet over med/high heat. Stir in sauce packet, cooking for 1 minute. Stir in 2 cups water and simmer for 8  minutes. Add olives and tomatoes and simmer for 2 minutes. Pour over pasta and carefully toss.

 


Dem Bones Bread Sticks & Dip

Ingredients:

  • Plentiful Pantry Pizza Kit
  • 3/4 c + 1/2 c Water
  • 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/8 c Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 500 degrees; Grease a cookie sheet. Combine Pizza Dough Mix and 3/4 cup lukewarm tap water in mixing bowl. Stir vigorously with fork and knead dough for 2-3 minutes until well blended. Cover dough and set in a warm place for 30 minutes or until size doubles.

Press dough evenly across bottom of prepared floured surface. Use a pizza cutter to cut the pizza dough into 1″ strips. Cut the strips so they are your desired bread stick length. Cut a 1/2″ indentation in the top, middle of each piece of dough, and separate to shape like the top of a bone. Place on a cookie sheet
Mix melted butter, Parmesan cheese and garlic salt together in a small bowl, and brush over bread before placing in the oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
For the dipping sauce, combine Pizza Sauce Mix with Tomato Paste and 1/2 cup water. Add more water for desired consistency.  You can warm the sauce in the microwave, or over a stove top.
